The Westminster Wolves Soccer Club is an adult and youth soccer club based in the heart of Carroll County, Maryland. The club serves players and coaches from throughout Carroll County, western Baltimore County, southern Pennsylvania and northern Howard County. The Westminster Wolves Soccer Club believes that the game of soccer is a lifetime sport that if cultivated at an early age with an emphasis on fun and friendships will provide many years of rewarding experiences. We strive for soccer excellence through good sportsmanship (from our players, coaches and parents), fierce competition and teamwork.

The adult men’s program had its inaugural season in the Mason-Dixon adult men’s soccer league in 1985 competing with teams from Western Maryland and Southern Pennsylvania. Many of the members of the original Wolves teams are still active in the program either as players, coaches or both. The men’s program remains active both indoors and outdoors including participating through outdoor leagues in Howard County and Indoor Leagues at Carroll Indoor Sports Center, the “Du” Burns Arena, and the Owings Mills Sports Complex. There are adult teams available for Open Men, Over-35 Men and Open Women.

The WWSC youth program began in the 1997 indoor season with one 5-7 year old coed team, made up predominantly of second generation Wolves. In the fall of 1999, the Wolves program launched its first travel team in the Carroll County Travel League’s Under-10 Boys Division. The Wolves Youth Soccer program has grown considerably in terms of both quality and in the number of teams since then. The youth program will field multiple teams for the Fall 2008 season and will run our fifth year of the Westminster Wolves Soccer School.

Today, the Wolves premier teams now participate in the Washington Area Girls Soccer and National Capital Soccer Leagues with other teams involved in the Baltimore Beltway, Central Maryland and Carroll County Travel Leagues.

Tryouts are held each May for all age groups at the Four Seasons Sports Complex. Exact dates are posted on our Calendar section.
