U11 Westminster Lady Wolves Finish 3rd at National Indoor Soccer Championship

Despite the worst blizzard in over 50 years in Cleveland, Ohio the U11 Westminster Lady Wolves all managed to get to the tournament and play extremely well. After a slow start in their first game, a 3-2 loss to Extreme 97 from Michigan, the girls came roaring back to post a 9-4 win over the Lady Gunners, and a 6-0 shutout of Dixie Thistle from Ontario, Canada. The 2 wins were enough to place 1st in our bracket and move us on to the semi-finals. Playing a familiar team, the SSA Hornets from Maryland, we locked up in an exciting battle that ended with a 3-2 overtime loss that could have gone either way. Thank You to the girls and especially, their parents, who braved the blizzard and made sure we could have an unforgettable weekend of high level soccer.
